The Auckland Showgrounds buzzed with excitement as the “Chinese New Year Festival and Market Day” took place on January 25, 2025. Organized by the New Zealand Culture and Arts Foundation (NZCAF), the Auckland Chinese Community Centre (ACCC), and Channel 33 New Zealand Chinese Television, the event brought together nearly 10,000 attendees to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
The celebration featured both indoor and outdoor areas, offering diverse experiences for visitors of all ages. The indoor main stage hosted a spectacular variety of cultural performances, seamlessly blending traditional and contemporary artistic elements. Numerous local performing arts groups delivered an unforgettable audiovisual feast. Outdoors, the event kicked off with a dazzling lion dance performance, symbolising prosperity, good fortune, and national harmony.
With over 200 stalls, visitors enjoyed a wide range of food, New Year specialties, and cultural products. The event highlighted the rich heritage of Chinese culture while fostering community spirit.
2025年1月25日，由新西兰文化艺术基金会携手屋仑华侨会所(ACCC)和Channel33新西兰中文电视台主办的“蛇年新春花市同乐日”如约在Auckland Showgrounds隆重举行！本次活动既为海外华人送上新春的祝福，也让新西兰华人沉浸式体验欢乐祥和的中国新春文化气息。
新春花市同乐日分为室外和室内两个区域，为各年龄层的观众提供不同的精彩体验。室内大舞台上呈现多样化的、传统与现代相融合的文艺演出，众多本地文艺团体将为观众献上一场视听盛宴。室外的舞狮队精彩表演拉开了庆典的帷幕，象征着风调雨顺，如意吉祥，国泰民安。
活动当天，有超过200个摊位，涵盖食品、干货、年货、文化和艺术等多个品类，为大家提供丰富的选择。经过数十载的悉心经营，奥克兰新春花市早已成为奥克兰华人社区庆祝新春的标志性活动。近万名社区群众参与了本次活动。
