For students studying vocal music, mastering works in different languages is also a very important part of vocal learning, in addition to learning singing techniques. Whether it is the ABRSM exam or Trinity exam, from grade four and above, students will start to encounter works in different languages such as Italian and German, besides English. John Rosser, the Music Director of the New Zealand Opera and a baritone singer, came to the City Community Centre of the NZCAF to guide vocal students on the pronunciation rules of the three languages used in singing: Italian, German, and French, and teach students how to apply these three languages to vocal works. This vocal masterclass will continue until April 21st, held at Level 3, 245 Hobson St, every day from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
